Frequently Asked Questions
What ingredients do you use in your soap?
Our soaps are made with natural oils and butters including shea butter, mango butter, essential oils, coconut oil, olive oil, and palm oil. Not all ingredients are used in every soap, so be sure to check the ingredient listing on the soap you are interested in purchasing to get specific information.
Do you wholesale?
Yes, we love our wholesale customers. For more information about our requirements and setting up a wholesale account, please email email@example.com and let us know which products interest you.
Where can I find your products?
We are regulars at fairs, festivals, and farmers markets across North Texas and the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. On any given Saturday morning, you may find us at the Keller Farmers Market (seasonal), local high school craft fairs, Etsy https://www.etsy.com/shop/CalidiaHandmadeSoaps, and of course at www.CalidiaSoaps.com
What type of wax do you use in your candles?
Our candles are 100% soy wax. Soy wax is long-burning and has excellent fragrance throw (the ability to fill the air with the aroma of the candle). In some instances, soy wax will frost, creating a “snowy” look on part of the candle. This is a great way to know that the candle is 100% soy and does not in any way impair the burn or throw of the candle.
How long does a bar of soap last?
It all depends on how often it’s used and how long it is exposed to water streams. Typically, someone using it once daily and storing it on a soap shelf will get at least three weeks use from one bar.
How long do your candles burn?
Typically, our soy wax candles burn for 6-7 hours per ounce. As such, you can expect your 12 oz. candle to burn for approximately 80 hours (and a 6 oz. candles to burn for approximately 40 hours). All candles last longer and burn better when burned for durations of 4 hours at a time versus multiple short intervals.
Are the ingredients you use sustainably sourced?
Indeed they are! We take our responsibility to the environment and people across the globe very seriously. We only buy palm oil from suppliers that are members of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO).
Shipping seems high, does it really cost that much?
Yes and no. Because of the shipping options the site host provides, a flat rate is charged. Sometimes this amount is correct and sometimes it is not. When the amount paid by the customer is more than the cost of shipping, a refund on the shipping costs is given. Also, shipping on orders of $30 or more is free.
